Dan Marino's Town Tavern
In the Shops at Sunset Place shopping center where restaurants typically have the lifespan of a fruit fly Dan Marino's has lasted for years by serving up comfort food too good for a place that doesn't rely on its famous pigskin-hurling namesake star to carry the load the way Marino carried the Dolphins to football glory. While the bar pours into the eatery's exterior you will find rich mahogany tables and cozy booths surrounding an exhibition kitchen inside. Warm bread, served in the shape of footballs, is a cute and delicious touch but things get better from there. From steak tips served in a pool of mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes to some hearty pasta dishes there is something for everybody on the menu. For dessert don't miss the almond basket. A creative treat it features an almond brittle basket crust housing fresh berries and sorbet in a presentation that almost looks too pretty to eat.
