The Clevelander In a South Beach scene that can always be a bit over the top and where the velvet rope can be finicky (in other words, unless you're famous or overly attractive you're not getting in) it's great to have the Clevelander. This doesn't mean that you won't find a good selection of South Beach hard bodies and waif models around -- you will -- but this cozy open-air bar with its lively music and active pool is the perfect watering hole right across from the beach. Arrive early where bathing suits are the dress code of choice or come after dark where casual or dressy mesh just as well, it's THE place to be if you aren't privy to some of the more upscale nightclubs in the area.
